Latino Theater Company Presents 25th Anniversary Production “La Victima”
As their 25th anniversary production the Latino Theater Company presents a revival of its very first show, La Victima which opens on October 2, 2010 at the Los Angeles Theater Center. Written by El Teatro de la Esperanza, the production will be directed by Jose Luis Valenzuela at the Los Angeles Theater Center in downtown L.A.
It’s a story that spans four decades, telling the tale of two families, the Villas and the Mendozas. We follwo these two families who are part of the immigrant wave which come to the U.S.A. to relieve the suffering of chronic poverty. It begins during the Great Depression and continues through later troubled economic times.

Los Angeles Theater Center Announces New Fall Season: Face of the World 2010
The Los Angeles Theatre Center, a landmark facility in Downtown’s Historic Core, embarks on its fourth fall season under the stewardship of the Latino Theater Company. There will be a full roster of plays from the venue’s Cultural Roundtable, a collaborative group of resident companies. The plays include La Victima and La Virgen De Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin from the Latino Theater Company; Calligraphy from Playwrights Arena; and The Reckoning from Robey Theatre Company. There will also be visiting artists presenting plays, dance and music.
