Mexican American actress Alexa Demie has signed with UTA. Demie, who stars alongside Zendaya, Angus Cloud, Maude Apatow and Jacob Elordi in HBO’s Emmy-nominated series Euphoria, will work with the agency in expanding Demie’s business across a range of verticals including film, television, music, fashion and fine arts.
Demie, who is best known for her role as Maddy Perez in HBO’s Euphoria, is also a singer and fashion designer. Perez is a former pageant queen in a love affair with a toxic jock named Nate Jacobs (played by Jacob Elordi).
Demie was born in Los Angeles, California. She was raised by her mother, Rose Mendez, a make-up artist whose family immigrated to Los Angeles from Michoacan, Mexico. She is said to be developing a film about her mother where she will play her in the film.
Alexa’s first film role was in a 2015 short entitled Miles. After that, she gain more visibility. She appeared on television shows like Ray Donovan and Love before landing her role in Euphoria. She also starred in movies such as Wave, Mainstream, and the Jonah Hill-directed comedy-drama, Mid90s.
