Alana de la Garza’s Role Exits CBS, lands on Spinoff “FBI”

A protégé of Dick Wolf Award-winning TV Franchises continues on as Isobel Castile on CBS’ FBI

According to Deadline.com, versatile actress, Alana de la Garza is on the move! Currently, a series regular on CBS’s FBI: Most Wanted, she is reprising her role as Assistant Special Agent in Charge (A.S.A.C.) on the new FBI, again as a series regular.

It’s a transfer of sorts because instead of starring in the upcoming CBS spinoff, de la Garza. who portrays A.S.A.C. Isobel Castile will join the original FBI as a series regular in Season 2, filling the void left by Sela Ward‘s departure. FBI returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, September 24th at 9/8C.

De la Garza has been working with TV Producer Dick Wolf for years on the most popular TV franchises he has created, i.e. NBC’s Law & Order, where she played Connie Rubirosa on all three of the spinoffs: Law & Order, Law & Order: LA, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Further, Deadline.com stated that on FBI, produced by Wolf Entertainment, Universal Television, and CBS Television Studios, de la Garza joins series regulars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, fellow Law & Order alum Jeremy Sisto,  Ebonée Noel.

On FBI: Most Wanted, De la Garza’s Isobel Castile is a Fugitive Squad Supervisor. She’s a polished and focused West Point graduate with a brief stint in Silicon Valley, she’s a rising star who shuns politics and is a guided missile in the field. The spinoff, which was introduced as a backdoor pilot episode of FBI this past spring, stars Julian McMahon, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Kellan Lutz, Roxy Sternberg, and Nathaniel Arcand.

De la Garza’s acting credits also include starring on CBS’ Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and ABC’s Forever, and got her big break as Rosa Santos on the daytime drama, All My Children in 2001. She has garnered several industry awards, including sevral Imagen and ALMA awards, and Cunningham Escott Slevin & Doherty (CESD).
