Bianca Del Rio in ‘Dragging The Classics: The Brady Bunch’

Actor, comedian and drag queen Bianca Del Rio plays Carol Brady in Dragging The Classics: The Brady Bunch, a crossover event that reunites The Brady Bunch original cast members alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race favorites. 

The streaming comedy special will air on Paramount+ June 30, closing out Pride Month celebrations. It is a co-production of the streamer with MTV Entertainment Studios and World of Wonder.

Dragging The Classics: The Brady Bunch recreates the iconic episode “Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?” and has been billed as an “innovative, one-of-a-kind event that uses state-of-the-art technology to transport the cast into the original Brady house.”

Bianca Del Rio is the stage name of Roy Haylock, who won the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. After Drag Race, Del Rio has written and performed various stand-up shows and published her first book Blame It On Bianca Del Rio: The Expert On Nothing With An Opinion On Everything. Born in New Orleans, Haylock is of Cuban and Honduran descent on his father’s side.

The original Brady Bunch cast members featured in the new Paramount+ special are Barry Williams (Mike Brady), Christopher Knight (Peter Brady), Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady), Eve Plumb (Lucy) and Susan Olsen (Margie).

In addition to Del Rio, other Drag Race favorites playing the Bradys are Shea Couleé (Marcia Brady), BenDeLaCreme (stepping out of drag as Greg Brady), Kylie Sonique Love (Jan Brady), Nina West (Alice), Kandy Muse (Cindy Brady). Making special appearances will be RuPaul and Michelle Visage.

Dragging The Classics: The Brady Bunch is executive produced by Nina L. Diaz, Trevor Rose, Keri Panichi Flint and Marcia Lansdown for MTV Entertainment Studios with Margaret Goodman and Tara Power serving as executives in charge of production. Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, and Tom Campbell are executive producers for World of Wonder.
