Coming to CNN+ ‘Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico’

Award-winning actress, producer, director and activist Eva Longoria has added hosting a travel show to her long resume. CNN+ announced the star will be hosting its new original series Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico a six-part series to premiere early 2022.

The new CNN+ series is a new iteration of the CNN Original Series Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy . Longoria’s six-part series will be produced by RAW, the same film and television company behind the Emmy winning Searching for Italy

Many of Longoria’s fans know she is an avid foodie and loves to cook. She is famous for her guacamole recipe, which she has shared on video on her social media and on several TV shows. Her book Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends was released in 2011 featuring many of her Mexican food recipes.

Mexican food is loved the world over and in this series Longoria will be the one to take viewers to Mexico where she will highlight the food and also tell the story of a culture and people who are deeply connected to the land and spirit of their country.

Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico will follow Longoria as she travels to Mexico exploring one of the most popular, global cuisines. From harvesting blue agave for tequila as the Aztecs once did, to slow cooking traditional mole sauce in Oaxaca, Longoria will travel to the vibrant regions of Mexico to reveal their unique and colorful cuisines.

“Partnering with CNN on a culinary driven expedition throughout Mexico is a dream come true,” said Longoria. “I am so proud of my Mexican-American roots and can’t wait to bring the hidden gems of Mexico to the world through Searching for Mexico.” She added, “I am a huge fan of Stanley’s journey throughout Italy; he set the bar high, and I can’t wait for everyone to fall in love with the magic of Mexico.” Longoria is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actress.

“Eva’s passion for Mexico and its culture and cuisine are a natural follow up to Stanley’s trip through Italy,” said Amy Entelis, executive vice president for talent and content development for CNN Worldwide. “We are thrilled she will take her journey on CNN+.”

Longoria is also one of the executive producers for Searching for Mexico along with Ben Spector and Stanley Tucci with RAW’s Tom Barry, Eve Kay and Jess Orr; Kate Leonard-Morgan is head of production. Amy Entelis and Lyle Gamm are the executive producers for CNN Original Series. Jon Adler is supervising producer for CNN Original Series. Season two of Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy is slated to air on CNN in Spring 2022.

Longoria is represented by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.
