New Children’s Book Spotlights 11 Latinos who Made U.S. History- Offers FREE online resources to parents during COVID-19 pandemic
Con Todo Press is set to launch its new children’s illustrated book, Fearless Trailblazers: 11 Latinos Who Made U.S. History on Cesar Chavez day, Tuesday, March 31, 2020, honoring what would have been the farmworker labor union leader’s 93rd birthday. Fearless Trailblazers is a bilingual book written by Naibe Reynoso, a multi-Emmy award-winning journalist, and illustrated by Venezuelan artist Jone Leal.
In conjunction with the book release, Con Todo Press is offering FREE resources to parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. On www.contodopress.com parents can download FREE sheets that can be coloring pages for younger children, and history lessons for kids that are in 2-3rd grade, among other educational lessons.
Latino pioneers profiled in Fearless Trailblazers include Astronaut Jose Hernandez, Musical Icon Carlos Santana, Playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, Scientist Albert Baez, Baseball great Fernando Valenzuela, Civil Rights Leader Cesar Chavez, Fashion Guru Oscar de la Renta, Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pioneer Journalist/Civil Rights Activist, Ruben Salazar, Actor Ricardo Montalban, and Politician Julian Castro (former mayor of San Antonio TX). About the Author: Naibe Reynoso is a multiple-Emmy award-winning journalist and board member of the prestigious Peabody Awards. She graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Sociology and a concentration in Psychology & Chicano Studios.
