 By Marlene Cordova

Latin Grammy Award winning musical group, Flor de Toloache debuts three new original songs: Regresa Ya, Dulces Recuerdos y Dicen, on AppleTV+ new series, Little Voice.

Creators, Sara BareillesJessie Nelson, and J.J. Abrams draw inspiration from Bareillesand her early life experiences for the new drama series, Little Voice. The show follows an up-and-coming artist named Bess (Brittany O’Grady), as she follows her dreams to become a superstar while navigating through romantic relationships and family conflicts.

The enchanting all-women band, Flor de Toloache, has come a long way since it was first founded in 2008, by lead singers Mireya Ramos and Shea Fiol. Flor de Toloache found the sweet spot on pushing boundaries of traditional mariachi. By merging genres and experimenting with different cultural sounds, this may come naturally to them because of how culturally diverse the women in the band are. Their backgrounds range from multiple countries, such as; Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Italy, and the United States. All these cultures combine to produce a new and refreshing sound on all three of their albums

Flor de Toloache makes multiple appearances in the Little Voice series debuting their music and appearing as themselves. When the first episode aired, the band took to social media to share their thoughts on their enjoyable experience.

“This first episode features our original song Dicen, and it was filmed around this time last summer on a blazing hot day in Washington Sq Park #NYC. It was quite an honor to be part of this awesome cast and crew. We hope you’ll check out the show, and there will be more of our original music in the episodes to come!” said Flor de Toloache, via an Instagram post.
