Born on January 5, 1979, Blanca Soto is not only a beauty — she’s also a talented actress who hails from Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She has that special magic and charisma that captivates all audiences. The proof is in how far her star IMDB meter elevated after her performance in the Univision and Venevision mega TV hit series, Eva Luna (2010-2011).
Telenovela soap opera lovers know her well in the role of Monica Saldana, a nurse who flees with her daughter to escape her husband’s drug-trafficking past in Mexico and assume a new identity in Spain. In 2019 she starred in Netflix’s You Cannot Hide (No te puedes seconder), alongside Eduardo Noriega.
Soto’s career started as an international model and then she went on to reign as Miss Mexico, representing her native country in the Miss World pageant. Since her pageantry and modeling days, she pursued her love of acting and starred in the short film, La Vida Blanca, where she received a film festival best actress award. The film was co-produced with her then-husband, Jack Hartnett. Soto’s other TV series credits include supporting roles opposite Chris Pratt, Tracy Morgan, and Scott Caan in Deep in the Valley (2009) and with Paul Rudd in Dinner for Schmucks (2010).
In 2019, Soto married one of Mexico’s most popular and beloved telenovela actor, Fernando Colunga (Marimar, Esmeralda, Maria la del Barrio).
