The Clinton ladies are heading to Hollywood!
Just released by Bloomberg.com, the news that Hillary Clinton, 71 and her daughter, Chelsea have launched a film and TV production company as they move forward to “build a pipeline of shows.”
According to Bloomberg, the Clintons have spoken to studios about financing their group of programs and giving interested studios a first-look option at releasing projects.
According to those in the know, the idea is to produce projects to influence culture and society. This is further confirmation that Hilary is out of politics. It is also reported that the Clinton plan is to shine the spotlight on stories by and about women.
Also noted is that mama Clinton had “previously signed on to help produce a TV show with Steven Spielberg — a series, The Woman’s Hour — an adaptation of a book about activists who fought to earn women the right to vote.”
As the Obama’s have done following their political years, they too created a production company, Higher Ground Productions, and have a Netflix deal.
It will be interesting to see what Hillary and Chelsea Clinton bring to the big and small screens– and hopefully will be overflowing with diversity — casts, crews, and stories.
