Puerto Rican Artist and Producer Jesús Manuel Nieves Cortez (Jhay Cortez or Jhayco) brings fuego to the electronic scene yet again. This time around, he collaborates with Dubstep and EDM pioneer Skrillex (Sonny John Moore).

Christian Dior, his first single of the year was released back in March. With the announcement of his Timelezz tour, Jhayco’s music and work demonstrate he is ready to own the charts once more. Previous to the engulfing En Mi Cuarto, Jhay Cortez collaborated with Puerto Rican Artists Marco Masís (Tainy) and Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) to release Dákiti.

Together the three Latin superstars earned: Billboard Music Award for Top Latin song 2021, Premio Juventud for Viral Track of the Year 2021, and Premio Juventud for Song of the Year 2021. Moreover, Dákiti became the biggest Latin produced song in the world reaching the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, Apple Music’s General charts, and Spotify Top 200.

En Mi Cuarto and Dákiti showcase Jhay Cortez’s love for the upbeat traces of house music in his reggaetón beats. Similar to Bad Bunny’s YonaguniEn Mi Cuarto is about Jhayco’s reminiscing of an old relationship that he is now trying to heal from. The visuals in En Mi Cuarto depict the healing measures he’s taken. Dancing alongside Skrillex in a burning room happens to be one of them.
