Estrella TV Reveals Nominees for Upcoming Seventeenth Edition of ‘2016 Premios de la Radio' Awards Ceremony

BURBANK, CA - October 11, 2016 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Estrella TV, owned by LBI Media, Inc., the largest privately held, minority-owned Spanish broadcasting company in the U.S. announces the nominees and date for its “2016 Premios de la Radio” awards ceremony.

On Tuesday, October 11th, Estrella TV announced the nominees for the largest and single-handedly most important awards show that honors, recognizes and celebrates regional Mexican music in the U.S. According to the 2015 RIAA Year-End Latin Sales & Shipments Data Report, regional Mexican music still accounts for 48% of all Latin music sales in the U.S.(1)

The announcement took place at a press conference at Fenomeno Studios headquarters, located in Burbank, California, and was hosted by internationally renowned music producer and star maker Pepe Garza. Special guests, who joined Garza in announcing this year’s nominees, included some of today’s hottest regional Mexican recording superstars such as Calibre 50, Regulo Caro, Alfredo Olivas, La Séptima Banda and Joss Favela.

Premios de la Radio, now in its seventeenth year, will take place on Thursday, November 3rd at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California and will be televised live by Estrella TV Network. The show has consistently been a #1 ratings success for Estrella TV. Premios De La Radio is the highest rated show of the year for the network.
