Paola Nunez Returns for The 2nd Season of The Purge

The Purge on USA Network at 9/8c.

In 2015, after a successful career in Mexico doing theater and starring in several telenovelas, Paola Nuñez took a career leap and moved to Los Angeles. A year later she achieved her goal playing Maria opposite Pierce Brosnan in AMC’s The Son. The role gave her the opportunity to give a voice to the history and struggle of the first Mexican-Americans in the US.

Currently, she stars as Esme Carmona, in USA’s The Purge as a top employee at an NFFA surveillance center who has dedicated her life to spotting crimes and digitally tagging lawbreakers.

Based on the hit movie franchise, The Purge revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Season 2 explores how a single Purge night affects the lives of four interconnected characters over the course of the ensuing year, all inevitably leading up to the next Purge. Hailing from Blumhouse Television and UCP, the second season of the anthology series opens on Purge night but dives deeper than ever before into what the Purge world looks like the other 364 days of the year.
