Politics: Democratic 2020 Presidential Debates

The 4-1-1 on the first round of debates

Round 1: Wednesday, June 26th
Round 2: Thursday, June 27th

The first and second rounds of debates are scheduled and will broadcast live from Miami, Florida, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. The debates will feature back-to-back primetime broadcasts on consecutive nights to ensure each candidate gets access to a primetime audience.

Qualifications: A candidate will need to either have at least one percent (1%) support in three qualifying polls or provide evidence of at least 65,000 individual donations from a minimum of 200 different donors in at least 20 states. Tie-break rules will be used to limit the debate to 20 candidates. Source: Election Central

Bill de Blasio: Mayor of New York City since 2013
John Delaney: U.S. Representative from Maryland since 2013
Tulsi Gabbard: U.S. Representative for the 2nd district of Hawaii since 2013
Jay Inslee: Governor of Washington since 2013
Amy Klobuchar: U.S. Senator from Minnesota since 2007
Beto O’Rourke: U.S. Representative for the 16th district of Texas since 2013
Tim Ryan: U.S. Representative for the 13th district of Ohio since 2003
Elizabeth Warren: U.S. Senator from Massachusetts since 2013

Night 2 – June 27
Michael Bennet: U.S. Senator from Colorado since 2009
Joe Biden: Former U.S. Senator and Former Vice President of the United States
Pete Buttigieg: Mayor of South Bend, Indiana since 2012
Kirsten Gillibrand: U.S. Senator from New York since January 2009
Kamala Harris: U.S. Senator from California since 2017
John Hickenlooper: Governor of Colorado since 2011
Bernie Sanders: U.S. Senator from Vermont since 2007
Eric Swalwell: U.S. Representative from California’s 15th district since 2013
Marianne Williamson: Spiritual teacher, author, lecturer, entrepreneur, and activist
Andrew Yang: American entrepreneur and founder of Venture for America (VFA)
