PR Strategist Marco Gonzalez Launches MaGo! PR

International, multilingual, and versatile communications executive Marco Antonio Gonzalez, will be utilizing his extensive background and expertise in the Hispanic market, as he opens the doors to his own full-service 360° PR company MaGo! Gonzalez’s new company will specialize in entertainment publicity, executive corporate communications, employee issues management, DEI and media training, social media, and English/Spanish translation services in both general and Hispanic markets.

Most recently, Gonzalez served as VP of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs at Estrella Media, a multiplatform Hispanic media company. In this role, he founded the company’s PR division and spearheaded all corporate communications, publicity campaigns, employee communications, and community relations efforts for the company’s television network, radio, and digital properties.

Utilizing his 20+ years of corporate communications PR experience, Gonzalez was key in helping with Estrella Media’s PR resurrgence after the company, formally known as LBI Media, went through a name change due to a bankfrupcy filed in 2020. Subsequently, the company was purchased by the HPS Investment Partners, LLC.

“After 20+ years of working as an in-house PR professional, I have opted to branch out and build my own PR practice in Los Angeles, California. My expertise focuses on developing comprehensive communications strategies from the ground up and building successful reputation management plans for brands and entertainment public figures,” stated Gonzalez. It’s a completely new world and a new journey I am finally embracing, and clearly, a step in the right direction in my professional growth and evolution.”

Gonzalez has served in various communications capacities at companies such as Herbalife Nutrition, Univision Music Group, and The United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Currently, he also serves as Board Chair of the Latino Equality Alliance, a social justice and Latinx LGBTQ+ advocacy nonprofit in Boyle Heights.

Gonzalez is an alumni of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
