The three-day event will feature Latinx and diverse creative leaders that will be able to connect with attendees via the numerous sessions and workshops available. Last year’s speakers included distinguished industry professionals such as Steven Canals, Kate del Castillo, Tanya Saracho, Gloria Calderon Kellett, and Christy Haubegger, who shared their experiences and industry insights with the public. Attendees will also be able to access the noteworthy NALIP Official Selection screening which highlights diverse and Latinx-centric stories and filmmakers. In an effort to make the programming more accessible, all sessions and screenings will include ASL interpreters and/or closed captions.

Leading international producer Endemol Shine Boomdog,  the Spanish-language division of Endemol Shine North America, developing and producing original content for the U.S. Hispanic and Mexican TV markets, and Colombian channel RCN Television recently closed an option agreement for the English adaptation of En los Tacones de Eva, which will be called In Her Shoes, for the United States and Canada. 

The Colombian telenovela, which was originally broadcast in 2006, became an audience favorite at the time. It was created by Elkin Opina, Fernán Rivera and Juan Carlos Troncoso and follows the events of a man who impersonates a woman both to exonerate himself and of course, for love. 

In Her Shoes is an RCN original story and already has two successful local adaptations on the international market: one produced in Mexico under the name Por Ella Soy Eva and another in Russia called Think Like a Woman.

“In Her Shoes gives us the opportunity to take a very successful story and adjust it to current times, when its characters and message are more relevant than ever,” Leo Zimbron, Head of Scripted Programming at Endemol Shine Boomdog said. “This is the beginning of a solid creative relationship with RCN, to whom we are grateful for trusting us with one of their most valuable titles.”
