The two Latino actors have joined other Hollywood stars for the crime-comedy drama inspired by the true story of a multimillion-dollar coupon scam that rocked America a decade ago. The film cast also features Dayo Okeniyi (See), Joel McHale (Community), Nick Cassavetes (Prisoners of the Ghostland), Michael Masini (Birds of Prey), Paul Rust (Love), Marc Evan Jackson (The Good Place), and Greta Oglesby (Wilson). 

MULTIPLE EXEC DIRECTORS
Directing the AGC Studio project are Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, who have also teamed up in two previous projects, the 2009 documentary The Way We Get By and the 2013 drama Beneath the Harvest Sky. Comedian Ben Stiller stands out among Queenpins’ seven executive directors that also include Miguel Palos (Dark Skies) and Breean Solberg (3 Days to Kill). STX Films is set to distribute. Currently, in post-production, the feature is set for release later this year.

Franco, who plays a character named Greg in Queenpins, is a busy actor who has come a long way from his beginnings in minor parts in television series in the mid-2010s. Best known for his performances in the comedy Booksmart and the mockumentary streaming series American Vandal, he has a recurring role in season four of the successful TV series Stranger Things. The young actor also stars in two other upcoming projects, the film We Broke Up and the TV movie Master of Doom, in post- and pre-production, respectively. He most recently starred in the Hulu comedy film The Binge.

Porto’s role as Mrs. Flores in Queenpins marks her return to the big screen in a starring role in a feature since her appearance in the Spanish-language drama Morir de Amor three years ago. The Colombia-born actress has remained quite active in television for many years. She is known for her role as Amara de Escalones, the crime ring godmother in the Epix cable channel series Get Shorty but has also appeared in other TV projects like This Is Us, Lucifer, Arrested Development, and L.A.’s Finest. Porto’s most recent was featured on NBC’s Mr. Mayor and the short film Estilo Americano.
