El Recluso was made available for international syndication and is scheduled to premiere in the U.S. on Telemundo later in the summer. The behind the scene talent includes noted Director of Photography, Jaime Reynoso (Aquí en La Tierra, Bloodline, Shooter, Ballers, The Glades, Burn Notice), Oscar-winner Brigitte Broch (Moulin Rouge, Babel, Amores Perros, 21 Gramos, Romeo + Julieta, Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas) has signed on as Production Designer. The series is produced in Mexico, including locations in Mexico City and the U.S.-Mexico border.
El Recluso centers around Lázaro Mendoza, a former marine who enters a maximum-security prison on the U.S.-Mexico border to investigate the abduction of the daughter of a prominent U.S. judge. The cast stars Argentine actor Ignacio Serricchio (Lazaro Mendoza) and Mexican actress Ana Claudia Talancón (Frida).

The El Recluso cast also includes Luis Felipe Tovar (Mariano Tavares), David Chocarro (Santito), Tiaré Scanda (Azucena Tavares), Guy Ecker (Judge John Morris) and Isabella Castillo (Linda Morris). The series is produced by Inna Payán (Las 13 Esposas de Wilson Fernández, El Sueño de Iván, La Jaula de Oro, Hidalgo – La Historia Jamás Contada) Sebastián Ortega (Gigoló, El Extranjero, Fanny la Fan); and directed by Jorge Colón (Las 13 Esposas de Wilson Fernández, Sin Ella), Mariano Ardanaz (El Marginal, Abre tus Ojos) and Alfonso Pineda. Marcos Santana serves as Executive Producer.

Telemundo International Studios produces big-budget Premium Series in Spanish, averaging 10-15 episodes available for different platforms, including broadcast, cable and digital media.
