The 2021 Billboard Music Awards Set a Date

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), presented by Dick Clark Productions, will air live on Sunday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.

The host, performers and nominees are yet to be announced. BBMAs nominees and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data.

The 2020 BBMAs aired on Oct. 14 from the Dolby Theatre and were hosted by Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson. The virtual event featured performances from Latino powerhouses including Bad Bunny, Ivy Queen and Demi Lovato.
