After announcing his retirement five years ago, acclaimed Steven Soderberg is back again to direct and deliver the mystery and crime film featuring a stellar cast that includes Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro.
The flick follows a group of Detroit criminals who encounter something unexpected and perplexing in their jobs and work together to reveal what truly is going on.
In addition to Del Toro, the film’s extraordinary lineup of actors include Academy Award nominee Don Cheadle; David Harbour, who gained prominence for his excellent role as police chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s series Strangers Things — a role that won him a Golden Globe nod; Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame; Brendan Fraser, best known for the horror film The Mummy; and Goodfellas’ Ray Liotta.
Also featured are Kieran Culkin, Bill Duke, Julia Fox, Amy Seimetz, Noah Jupe—who shines in the currently playing A Quiet Place II, and the late Craig Grant, who passed away this past March.
Set to world premiere at the current 2021 Tribeca Festival on June 18, the HBO Max film is slated for nationwide theatre release July 1, 2021.
It is clear that seven-times Oscar winner Soderberg is back to direct for the culture yet again.
