It’s that time of year again! Fall is on it’s way and so is Fall fashion. The season change brings out new trends, colors and styles. New product lines are rolling out, still in the midst of a pandemic. There’s no doubt that face masks will be trending, but will we see an end to tie dye?

There are some positive changes in the recent ad campaigns. A new makeup line by Selena Gomez promotes individual beauty. Jennifer Lopez incorporated her family in Coach’s Fall campaign. Also, red carpets are slowly coming back in a unique way. The changes seem to come at a time when it is needed most.

Selena Gomez’s new makeup line Rare Beauty launched September 3rd and is already getting great reviews. Gomez has been busy during quarantine, with her cooking show Selena+Chef plus her collaboration with Blackpink on the song Ice Cream. Gomez is also gracing the cover of Allure magazine’s October “Best of Beauty” issue. Allure announced Gomez as their October Cover star on their Instagram. There seems to be nothing Gomez can’t do.

Rare Beauty’s slogan is “Makeup made to feel good in, without hiding what makes you unique.” and in Gomez’s words, “It’s not about being someone else but being who you are.” The products are sold exclusively at Sephora. One of the main products, Rare Beauty’s Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation, comes in 48 shades. The ingredients are sulfate, paraben and formaldehyde free. The products are also vegan and cruelty-free.

Jennifer Lopez is modeling in the new Coach Fall 2020 campaign with her Mother Lupe and twins, Emme and Max. Coach’s new campaign focuses on family and “togetherness.” Jennifer Lopez is slowly introducing her family into the industry with the new Coach 2020 campaign. JLo has been including her family more into her work and it comes at an important time.

Coach posted to their instagram a photo with JLo and family and quoted Lopez in the caption, “Introducing Fall 2020: a new perspective on what matters most. Starring #CoachFamily member #JenniferLopez and two other generations–her mother Guadalupe “Lupe”, and children Max and Emme. “Family is all about having a constant source of love for each other. It also means a whole lotta work and a whole lotta patience—but the good kind,” says Jennifer.” Coach captures the importance of family while introducing their new pieces, as seen on many of their Instagram posts.

Red carpets are coming back in a new way. On September 14th, Lionsgate hosted a Rooftop Cinematic event for the new movie Antebellum. The event which was sponsored by Lexus, was on the rooftop of The Grove shopping mall in Los Angeles. The attendees came inside their cars to watch the premiere of Antebellum.

The red butterfly from Antebellum was the theme for the event. The stars posed in front of a backdrop that had the butterfly logo from the movie. Keeping a social distance, each actor stopped to have their photo taken and show off their red carpet look. Staying safe while at the event, many had their face mask on and then took it off for the photos.

Janelle Monae who plays Eden in the movie was stunning in a gorgeous lace black gown. Monae also wore a coordinating white face mask with a black butterfly on it. At the event Monae said “This film could not be more timely, it travels from the past, the present and what could be our future.”
