Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme presents the theater Festival exploring Latinas’ challenges and triumphs, the Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme’s TRIGGER WARNING!. The festival runs Thursday, March 7th through Sunday, March 31st, 2019 at Casa0101, 2102 E 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90033.
Currently in its seventh year of original new works, Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme sprung from the desire to foster more Latina-driven creative work. Since its modest beginning in 2013, Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme has more than quadrupled in size, presented 100 new plays, and has broken attendance records at Casa 0101 Theater by selling out nearly every show.
Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme empowers Latinas by giving them the tools to develop new creative works. Each of the playwrights also takes on the role of director and associate producer, making it an entirely Latina driven production.
Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme is produced by Claudia Duran and Rocio Diaz.

Performances are held Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 5 p.m. at
Casa 0101 Theater, located at 2102 East 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90033.

It is recommended that minors under the age of 17 be accompanied by an adult. The Chicanas, Cholas, y Chisme production team understands that certain segments of the production contain violence and sounds of gunshots that may be disturbing to some of our audience members. Our production team encourages healing and will act responsibly by having social service agencies on hand throughout the production to provide resources in counseling and other social service programs, and address any audience members’ concerns and discomforts.
