East LA’s Vida cast member Mishel Prada is on her way to the CW’s Riverdale in a recurring role. Prada will play Hermosa, a Miami-born and raised private detective who arrives in town. Hermosa is confident, ambitious and calculating, and knows that everything comes with a price.

On Vida, a fully Latina show created by Tanya Saracho, Mishel plays Emma a queer Latinx woman, the older of two estranged sisters who return to their old neighborhood where they are confronted by their past and surprising family revelations. Her role on Riverdale will not affect her work schedule on Vida.

In addition to her role on Vida, Prada also starred on AMC’s Emmy nominated short-form digital series: Fear the Walking Dead: Passage.

Riverdale was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, based on the Archie comic book characters. He is also the creator of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. Season four of Riverdale premieres on October 9th on the CW.
