Dare Cinema’s The Way Home (De vuelta a casa) billed as a “love letter to Puebla”, Mexico will have its premiere on May 14 at the Garden Pavilion Theater in Hollywood, California.

The Way Home is directed and produced by Darius Stevens Wilhere and it follows Ricardo, a young and successful business executive who abandoned his home in Puebla, Mexico in search of his fame and fortune in The Big Apple. When Ricardo is called home due to his grandfather’s passing. He travels back to Puebla to spread his grandfather’s ashes across the state at all the places the two visited during Ricardo’s childhood. Along the way, Ricardo begins to realize the real core values of life and how precious time with our loved ones truly is. 

Rich in culture and traditions, Puebla is famous in Mexico because it is where a small army of Mexican soldiers defeated the powerful French military in the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. That victory is celebrated in Mexico as Cinco de Mayo.

The cast of notable mexican actors who will be in attendance at the premiere include Cayetano Arámburo (Club de Cuervos, Quién mató a Sara), Eugenio Montesoro (La Casa de las Flores, Hoy Voy a Cambiar), Renata Monterola (El Señor de los Cielos, La Reina Soy Yo), Sergio Rogalto (No Fue Mi Culpa, The Romanoffs), Javier Santa Rita (Club de Cuervos, Santos Peregrinos) and Harding Junior (I Carry You With Me, El Secreto de Selena). American audiences have discovered some of these talented actors through the their work in the films on Netflix like Club de Cuervos, El Señor de los Cielos, La Reina Soy Yo and others.
