Carin Leon, a rising star, has become the talk of the industry! Becoming the most-streamed artist of 2020 in the Regional Mexican category, placing top 25 on the Regional Mexican Airplay charts, and taking the #35 spot on Hot Latin Songs playlist, with the song Tu.  Next to other artists such as Bad Bunny, The Black Eyed Peas, J Balvin, Karol G, etc.

Leon grew up in Hermosillo, Mexico, a city in the center of Sonora, as Oscar A Diaz de Leon. With dreams of becoming a well-known musician, Carin’s first start was as the composer and lead singer of Grupo Arranke. The Norteno musical group was founded in Hermosillo, MX, and formed by the five group members, Gilberto Meneses Romo, Alan Mendivil, Fede Sanchez, Oscar A Diaz de Leon (Carin Leon), and Eduardo Silva Herrera (Lalo). The band’s initial goal was to aim for innovation and to build a fanbase by mixing traditional sounds with modern sounds. They succeeded in Mexico, and on the Billboard charts, in 2018, their hit, “A Traves Del Vaso.”  As Leon ventures off into his solo career, he continues to push musical boundaries.

Within two months of his first release, Leon delivered a volume two of Encerrados Pero Enfiestados. The album includes a variety of covers ranging from corridos, mariachi, and Norteno classics. Carin and his manager Javier Gonzalez aka “El Tamarindo” don’t plan on stopping anytime soon, as they continue to work in hopes of releasing more content before the year comes to an end.
